Pika is a long bodied doe with a nice long lean neck. She is an angular doe with dairy character. She has good spring of rib and has nice open space between her ribs. She has good bone as all the Summit kids seem to have. I like the size of bone representing strength with the flatness of bone representing dairy. Summit kids are nice and big kids. They are also very social kids with great dispositions. Pika tracks straight in the front. She does hock in a bit when viewed from the rear. She has good rear leg angulation when viewed from the side and she has nice tight toes and deep heels. She has an excellent top line. Our goal with this breeding was to mix the correctness of general appearance with Hallmark and Ariel with the production of Ariel and the Mamm-Key lines. Pika turned out to be one of our best yearling milkers. A very well attached supported udder with extension of the fore udder full of capacity. Summit daughter’s 1st freshener’s peak average 13.5 pounds and Pika peaked at 14.1 pounds.
