Every year I practice my ability to pick the best kid for the year. In 2006 I picked Whiskey, in 2007 it was Poet and in 2008 I chose Sequoia. Sequoia is a full Clooney sister. I have been very happy with my choice to keep her. She has that special grace and beauty about her. She was shown only one time and picked up her dry Championship. She is getting a little pudgy being a dry yearling, which doesn’t help give her dairy character. With her grand dam being a breed leader, this should melt off once she starts milking. She’s a big long tall doe, with the strong bone that I need to add to my very dairy does. She is a very level doe in back and rump. She is excellent or very good in all categories except shoulder assembly. She could use a flatter shoulder blade that blends smoother into the withers. She has thick level strong hooves. She is wide between the hocks and tracks straight and does not hock in when on the move. She is one of the more intelligent girls. She is friendly and has been a joy to have here at the ranch. She is bred to Rapture (GIT-R-Done X Cozy) for March 2010 kids.
